State College, PA October 1, 2021 – Blue Mountain Quality Resources (“Blue Mountain”), a SaaS provider of enterprise asset management software and services for the Life Sciences industry, announced that David H. Rode has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. David has over 20 years of experience in delivering significant growth for numerous cloud-based and SaaS software companies. David succeeds President and Founder Jim Erickson, who will move on to serve as a strategic advisor and board member for Blue Mountain. The company offers a robust Enterprise Asset Management (“EAM”) solution designed exclusively for the life sciences industry.

“Blue Mountain is a market leader within the enterprise asset management space, and with the ever-critical work that our clients do to bring vital drugs, therapies, medical diagnostics and devices to market safely and efficiently, there are tremendous opportunities ahead of us,” said David. “I look forward to working with the Blue Mountain team to deliver value to our customers and to drive growth for the company.”

“I am proud to have led Blue Mountain for over 25 years, and to see how the company has grown from an idea to solve a market problem into the industry leader it is today,” said Jim Erickson, Founder and outgoing President of Blue Mountain. “From the bottom of my heart, I thank all the customers, partners and employees who believed in me, and who placed their confidence in what Blue Mountain could do for them. The future for Blue Mountain is bright, and David is absolutely the right person to take us on the next phase of growth. I can’t wait to see all the things the Blue Mountain team will achieve.”

“The Blue Mountain board is excited to have David join the company,” said Phil Cunningham, Operating Executive at Accel-KKR and a member of Blue Mountain’s board of directors. “His experience and proven track record in growing software businesses will provide for a smooth transition and continued strong leadership at the company. The board would like to congratulate Jim for his tremendous achievements. As a result of the strong foundation that Jim laid, Blue Mountain is poised for an exciting new chapter of growth.”

David brings a strong track record of delivering significant revenue growth and financial outcomes.  Many of David’s career milestones are tied to launching successful go-to-market programs, building productive, results-oriented teams and accelerating high-growth programs.

Previous leadership roles included partnering with private equity firms in an executive leadership capacity. Symphony Technology Group (STG) appointed him as the GM of EMEA for Iptor, which sold to Marlin Equity Partners.
