Following our efforts with the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited, we were pleased to work with both Centre Furnace Mansion and the State College Food Bank throughout the month of May for more Spring Community Caring events.
This year was the 21st Annual Plant Celebration and Garden Sale. As a local spring tradition and fundraiser for the Centre County Historical Society, our employees helped Centre Furnace Mansion move over 1,000 potted plants and catch up on gardening chores, such as weeding.
The Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive is the largest food drive in the United States. Every year, letter carriers, such as the U.S. Postal Service, in over 10,000 cities and towns across the nation collect non-perishable food donations and deliver them to local community food banks, pantries, and shelters. This year, Blue Mountain helped sort the Stamp Out Hunger donations at our local food bank, the State College Food Bank.
