With the holidays quickly approaching, the stores and shops in Centre County are preparing for the crowds of shoppers that will be coming through their doors.

The same is happening at the Centre Furnace Mansion. During a recent Community Caring activity, a team of Blue Mountain employees spent some time helping them prepare for their 12th Annual Stocking Stuffer Antiques, Art & Fine Crafts sale. The event features offerings of handmade crafts, fine arts and antiques. Also, there is music, hot beverages and desserts from local restaurants for shoppers to enjoy.

During the team’s time at the mansion, they helped organize rooms, brought new life to the walls by putting a fresh coat of paint on them, used some good old fashioned elbow grease to build shelving units and set them into place, they helped prepare old cans of paint for disposal and even placed address labels on post cards about the event.
