Blue Mountain RAM Baseline
The Baseline Configuration is a fast-track, more affordable version of Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager.
Blue Mountain developed the Baseline Configuration for companies looking to introduce Blue Mountain RAM into their organization with a minimum of time and effort put into configuration. It is ideal for companies looking for the latest best-in-class solution for enterprise asset management from Blue Mountain, but can’t justify the expense of a full implementation right now.
To reduce the number of configuration decisions and days, Blue Mountain applies a pre-defined configuration for Blue Mountain RAM after the installation of the software is completed. This configuration includes data field labels, reports, group right definitions and lifecycle work rules for:
- Assets, including equipment, loops, systems and locations
- Calibration, including measurement data collection
- Maintenance, including inventory
- Validation
- Work requests
- Personnel
The details of the configuration of fields, groups, and work processes are provided in a sample Configuration Specification which is available on request.
Streamlined Services
The use of the Baseline Configuration allows companies to reduce the total cost of an implementation by taking advantage of certain streamlined services. A typical basic implementation may include:
- Full-function license(s) of Blue Mountain RAM
- 1 year of technical support
- Installation of the software and Baseline Configuration Templates (typically done remotely)
- 3-days of streamlined product training (designed exclusively to baseline configuration)
- Validation Protocol and Software Quality Assurance Manual
- Pass/Fail IQ/OQ Validation execution
- Data migration of fields supported in Baseline Configuration
Fixed Configuration With Options
While the configuration of fields and work processes are fixed in the Baseline Configuration (in order to take advantage of the streamlined training, reports and data migration), there are still several options to expand the implementation incrementally. Here is a sample of those options:
- Additional reports and queries
- Design and configuration of notifications
- Creation of measurement data templates
- Configuration of the application to use your network security
- More detailed training
- Screen captures for IQ/OQ validation execution
- Writing and executing PQ validation scripts
- Server Qualification
- SOP generation
Items available as part of a full implementation, but not available in the Baseline Configuration, include but are not limited to: configuration of fields and forms to your exact needs, configuration of business process to reflect how you operate, use of craft codes, tracking equipment used in lots, recording test activity and managing training events.
